Step 1: Download the YONO SBI App
Visit the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices) on your smartphone. Search for “YONO SBI” and download the official app.
Step 2: Register on the YONO SBI App
Open the YONO SBI app and tap on the “Register” button. You will be asked to enter your mobile number, which should be linked to your Aadhaar card. Enter the mobile number and tap on “Proceed.”
Step 3: Verify Your Mobile Number
YONO SBI will send an OTP (One-Time Password) to your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP in the app to verify your mobile number.
Step 4: Set Your MPIN
After verifying your mobile number, you will be prompted to set a 6-digit MPIN (Mobile PIN) for secure access to your account. Choose a strong MPIN and enter it twice to confirm.
Step 5: Provide Personal Details
Fill in your personal details, such as your full name, date of birth, gender, email address, and PAN (Permanent Account Number). Ensure that the information provided matches your official documents.
Step 6: Complete KYC (Know Your Customer)
To comply with KYC regulations, you need to provide proof of identity and address. You can do this through the YONO SBI app by following these steps:
- Tap on the “KYC” option in the app menu
- Select “Update KYC.”
- Choose “Aadhaar-Based KYC.”
- Enter your Aadhaar number and tap on “Proceed.”
- Verify your Aadhaar details and submit
Alternatively, you can visit your nearest SBI branch with your Aadhaar card and PAN card to complete the KYC process.
Step 7: Fund Your Account
Once your KYC is complete, you can fund your new YONO SBI account. You can do this by:
- Transferring money from another bank account using NEFT, RTGS, or IMPS
- Depositing cash at any SBI branch or ATM
- Requesting money from other YONO SBI users
Step 8: Explore YONO SBI Features
After successfully opening and funding your account, you can explore the various features offered by YONO SBI, such as:
